Hillside Stable is an established equestrian facility located ten minutes East of Edmonton on paved roads. We have been offering quality board, lessons, clinics and training since we opened in 2004. Our clients enjoy our knowledgeable care, our heated arena and barn and friendly atmosphere. The main focus at Hillside Stable is quality care and good horsemanship whatever your goals!

Our coach and barn manager, Karen Nelson has over 30 years of experience coaching and is AEF General Performance judge, available to judge your horse show.

Our focus is clients who are active in taking care of their horse, and who may want to jump, do basic dressage (English or western), or just learn new skills and basic horsemanship.  We are adding Working Equitation lessons to our program in 2024.  We are happy to take clients to local schooling shows or other fun events.

Hillside Stable is owned and operated by Karen Nelson and Robert Baron. We are also support cat rescue and care for local abandoned and feral cats.

We are not currently accepting new clientele, with the exception: we are looking for a horse to lease or part lease to use in lessons 3-5 days a week. Hillside is a Private facility and access is by appointment ONLY.
