Hillside Stable offers lessons in jumping, dressage,  western and basic flatwork.  We are currently full for lessons and not accepting new students other than haul in students. We are currently looking for a horse to lease/part lease to use in lessons. We occasionally have horses available for part lease to our students.

Lessons are taught by Karen Nelson, who has experience competing in dressage, hunters, jumpers, and open show classes. Karen has been teaching since 1991, and so has decades of experience coaching riders of various levels and ambitions.

Our program teaches women the fundamentals of dressage, jumping and western riding. Our lessons focus on understanding why as well as how, in a fun, safe and encouraging environment. Our lessons are taught with 1 – 3  riders per group, and are taught during the day or on weekday evenings. Our clients range from 16 to 60’s!

All Lesson Rates (all rates include GST):

• Own/leased horse: $25.00 per semi-private lesson. $40.00 per private lesson. (half hour private is $30.00)
• Haul in lessons: $30.00 per semi-private lesson. $45.00 per hour private lesson, or $35 per half hour.
• Lesson horse lessons:  $40.00 per semi-private lesson. $55 per private lesson
• Leases: inquire as to rates. Lease rates vary as they are set by the owner of  the horse.
